the final design looks cleannn! love all the exposed electronics and angular form. so impressive you were able to pull this off with just tinkercad too. it goes to show how even these kinds of more complex projects are fairly accessible now. very inspirational. nice work!

Bloody hell, the actual video and story telling is so good! I love the aesthetics of the mouse. And the "Ah, I remember why I let the project fizzle out 3 months ago." is waaaay too relatable. I'm making a lasercut curved ergo mech keyboard. It's taken way too long.

This was really cool! Every bit as fun as the Optimum video. Loved the story and excitement. Awesome to see how different people approach similar problems.

This encouraged me to keep working on my mice. I had my g502 took apart tried to cad a new mouse stopped for a couple weeks. You made me start again and I’ve redisegsned it to be way better

The dedication, the patience and the precision! Great work man, I can see these becoming a more popular thing in the future (or is it already?), love your vids!

Hi. Loved the step by step design improvements. I have the basilisk and it is ripe for refresh :). Can you please share your 3D models?

This channel is like the perfect intersection of Ben Vallack meets optimum tech

You could also try using Lightweight PLA, it has a nice texture too in the hand.

I'd be happy to buy the stl. Have you considered releasing it?

So nice to see another DIY mouse based of wieght reduction !

I wish my mouse project could find a collaborator, I have this clay mold for my ideal clawgrip mouse (using the MZ1 principles) but have no 3d printer nor experience in designing the thing using existing PCBs. However I know exactly what the base design can be using the clay mold and how it can be improved structurally using some optimised shape tuning.
I'm not a fan of the CAD tools since they don't produce organic results with curves and stuff.. it might be better to do the prototyping in Blender3D or something.

Hey I really love how you kept the side mouse buttons over optimum techs would you possibly release the files for printing I was going to try to model one myself but lost heart when I realized how in-depth it was, but I would totally buy the files

absolutely love the fact you're giving away the stl for free

Actually was thinking to get the cheapest Logitech hero sensor mouse, and then try to 3d print something similar to the discontinued g700s ( because it is amazing for carpel tunnel, for people who don't want to use a trackball )

Found your video, first one I watched on 3d printing a mouse, seems like this is going to be a very time consuming rabbit hole. Thanks for the content and the introduction :D
