Strange to see that the "top spec" models are being compared while majority of the market goes for the middle spec or lower range in manual. I have test driven both of these and to be honest, the outcome will be different if tested in manual. In automatic, VW's DSG box is always a winner, in the manual the 6th gear and extra KW on the Fiesta takes the cake, engine sounds a lot better to. If we can get a review in mid/lower spec that would be more relevant to most buyers, it would be awesome!

The Ford Fiesta is the best. The Polo is common and there’s a lot of security issues with the Polo. I want to be safe while driving. I don't know why people thing that the polo looks better. It kinda looks the same like the old gen but the fiesta has a totally refreshed front and rear end which is better in every aspect other than the engine specs which is also almost evenly matched.

Having seen both Polo and Fiesta last month as I am looking for a new car the Polo is more practical, comfortable and spacious and better looking interior.

If you don't mind shifting gears yourself I feel the Opel Corsa 1.4T Sport is a better buy. It might be a bit older compared to the new Polo and Fiesta but still offer great value for money and the great thing is, the updated Corsa Sport comes with all options included so nothing to add.

In terms of driving enjoyment if it’s not a Ford then you're probably going to be bored.
There’s no denying that in this segment Ford knows how to build a dynamic and fun to drive car better than anyone else.

I’m a Ford guy so I would obviously take the fiesta over anything else, but that’s not to say any of the competitors are bad, that polo looks really solid, but we all desire different things and for me the fiesta is the one I’d drive home.

Side note... If anyone reading this is actually going to buy either of these cars, please choose a manual, #SaveTheManual. You take all the fun out of these sorts of cars when you buy the auto.

The Fiesta Ecoboost Titanium equivalent is the Polo Highline. The Comfortline Polo should be compared to the Fiesta Ecoboost Trend.
