If you want to, you could use a hot tablespoon for the candles. I used to warm it with a candle, then use the back of it to melt the existing candle. With stroke like movements. This will melt the candle and then bring the flowers back behind the wax. No extra wax needed. Used to do this with decorated napkins when I was little!
