Current F1 point system is flawed here is my new (and better) points system

1st: 25pts.
2nd: 20pts.
3rd: 18pts.
4th: 15pts.
5th: 12pts.
6th: 10pts.
7th: 8pts.
8th: 6pts
9th: 4pts.
10th: 3pts.
11th: 2pts.
12th: 1point

Also 1 additional point for fastest lap(in top 10)
and 1 additional point for pole position

I wish some points for drivers that finish 10+ ... one point also for all those finishing within the same lap as the winner. This will motivate the weaker teams. 🙂

Quick question, if a driver is leading in points throughout the season but another driver happens to win the final Grand Prix, who would win the championship?

I still dont get it that how one car is in first position and then goes for a pit stop but didn't lose first position. How is that possible when pit lane has 60kph speed limit and ofcourse it takes at least couple of seconds for the pit stop itself. No one on the youtube actually explained this basic fact for the beginners.

0:49 I simply see a big "F YOU" to the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 system; and I can't disagree!

Should be noted too that the point for fastest lap in a race is only awarded if it's a driver within the top 10 (in other words, a driver must be already scoring points to earn that extra point). If a driver outside the top 10 takes the fastest lap, then nobody recieves the extra point. This prevents less-competitive teams who know they can't finish in the points to 'cheaply' throw on a set of softs at the end of a race to somewhat-easily snag an underserving point. The best a competitive team can do with both drivers out of the points is to stop a rival driver/team from taking that extra point.
