US Secretary of State Antony Blinken didn’t expect the kind of grilling he would receive from Congressman Joaquin Castro, a US lawmaker from Blinken’s own party. Castro bluntly told Blinken that whilst he had acted against Hamas swiftly, he had failed to stop Netanyahu from carrying out brutalities in the region.

Blinken was appearing before the House Select Committee on Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

Respect to Castro for being as honest as he could be, in that setting and political sphere, and for doing so publicly. We have to give credit where it is due, .Limited though his statement was Castro has said a lot more than most US leaders today. The facts are, however, that the US has not only facilitated but participated in and funded this Genocide, and the Apartheid and Occupation that preceeded it in the previous 70 years.
