07:25 the oil pan isn't a reshaped item, it is a baffled pan taken off the the S55 along with the dual pick up oil pump to prevent oil starvation which normal N55's suffer from especially on track. N55's are also found in the M240iR

Did you skip a few BMW cars? I didn’t hear anything about the 535i, 640i or 740i which all have the N55 engine. Would be great to hear the variations of the N55 in these models.

GREAT video buddy! I love the chart and breakdown. I know you've moved on from the n54 hehe but I think it would be awesome if you make a video talking about the n54 differences since they've used it in so many different cars.

How do I find out what n55 I have? 2013 335ixdrive sport?I believe I have electronic waste gate not pneumatic but not sure. Have tuned mhd stage 1, HPS cold air, Evo charge pipe- hitting peaks of 20.1 lbs boost and sport gages on display are saying im around 400hp and little north of 430lbs torque if there right? (That would be at crank, right) Car is way faster then my 6.4L dodge challenger scat pack with just shy of 500hp.

Im glad you made this video. I own a 2018 M2 and have noticed people are quick to dismiss the older M2s because they have a N55 but none seem to know that the one the M2 is quite a special N55 plus that sound is way better than the S55 in my opinion.

The M235 has the same cooling system upgrades as the M2. Same intercooler as well. Also, all EWG N55s got the upgraded S55 rod bearings. Earlier N55s did have issues munching rod bearings.

Forgot the N55HP, most F30s come with it, it's how you can purchase that "MPPK" kit for 35 more HP/TQ with a more responsive throttle.

I have a 135i n55 it’s a 2012 MHD stage 1 awesome daily driver great power and theater the dct is so fast and crisp but I’ve heard the manual transmission was great as well

Dude I just took this road trip because I heard it was one of the BEST roads in cali. Look up CA-33. I swear you will thank me, its like 50 miles of perfect driving road and beautiful mountains. Im going again with a dash cam to record this time. Best part, there were barely any cars. Its kinda far but WORTH

I didn't hear you talk about the difference in fuel pumps between the n55. There are two different types of fuel pump and the oil pump timing chains are different.
