The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. For those of you who don’t know: Abby didn’t actually say “your kid’s washed up”, it was edited. What Abby really said was “get Chloe’s lazy eye fixed”. That really hurt her because at the time she was having tests to figure out whether or not it was cancer. Thankfully she doesn’t have cancer but it was still a horrible thing to say.

This episode was heavily edited. First of all, at 4:36 Abby actually said “get her eye fixed”, but they switched the audio there to make Abby look good. Second of all, when Chloe and Christi were crying, they made it seem like nobody cared and didn’t comfort them. But actually, Nia and Holly were comforting them and even Cathy came into the room, but the producers edited those parts out. Abby and the producers need to get their acts together.

I barely ever cry when watching shows, even less with reality tv, but Chloe’s last few words made me bawl. The pure pain and innocent regret she had, sourced from such a toxic and manipulative teacher, is just too much for me.
