Random AP Precalculus Problems (I found on the Internet). These are not official AP Collegeboard examples, but they will definitely get the job done!

To determine the range of parametric equations, follow these steps:

1. **Parameterization**: Start with the parametric equations, typically in the form \( x = f(t) \) and \( y = g(t) \), where \( f(t) \) and \( g(t) \) are functions of the parameter \( t \).

2. **Identify the Range of \( t \)**: Determine the possible values of the parameter \( t \) that will yield meaningful solutions for \( x \) and \( y \). This may involve considering any constraints or limitations on the parameter, such as restrictions due to periodic behavior or domain restrictions on functions involved.

3. **Evaluate the Functions**: Substitute the boundaries of the range of \( t \) into the parametric equations to find corresponding values of \( x \) and \( y \).

4. **Determine the Range of \( x \) and \( y \)**: Once you have found the values of \( x \) and \( y \) corresponding to the range of \( t \), determine the minimum and maximum values of \( x \) and \( y \). This will give you the range of the parametric equations.

5. **Account for Periodic Behavior (if applicable)**: If the parametric equations represent periodic functions, you may need to consider multiple periods to determine the complete range.

6. **Consider Graphical Interpretation (optional)**: Graphing the parametric equations can also help visualize the range and identify any patterns or behaviors.
