Night Fishing for Lake Erie Walleye in the Fall

In the fall, as darkness sets in on Lake Erie, most boats clear off the lake, but this can be one of the best times to head out. Football games and leaves dropping off the trees signal that fall is here. That means water temperatures are dropping, shad are moving in shallower, and walleye can be easy targets at night. In this night fishing video, we will show you tips, tricks, safety, and an all-out walleye whack fest.

Capt. Ross Robertson has made his complete living chasing walleye as a full time professional angler for more than 20 years. Through the years he has worn many hats including time as a fishing guide, boat salesman, TV host, outdoor writer, product designer, tournament fisherman, speaker, radio host and podcaster to name a few.

Ross fishes ice-out to ice-up on the Great Lakes. He spends the majority of the year walleye fishing on Lake Erie’s Western and Central basins.

Great video as usual Ross. Will you continue to book throughout the winter providing there is no ice obviously. Had a lot of fun with you earlier this year.

Great video. Did some night time trolling this summer (East end) and caught my PB.. We had the best results in 20-30'... curious if even shallower like in this video is worth a try, or is that more of a fall thing? Thanks
