"What are Sorcerers?" You mean apart from walking bombs?

A Wizards Ego has just as much destructive potential as they have spell slots in my experience.

Sorcerer: (Exists)
Wizards: "So you have chosen, Death."

This makes me want to create a wizard character that when they see a sorcerer for the first time are like, "And you can do that at will....? That's dope!"

I've always viewed it as sorcerers need just as much training as Wizards to control and produce magic. It's just different. Like weight training for muscles vs studying for my anatomy class

Always subclass as a sorcerer to dab on the party’s wizard..

Wizard: I did not used all my life to study magic just for some random "prodigy" take my role away

Sorcerer: And I did not put my friends and family in danger, left my home and faced constant dangers so you can pick on me so you can feel better about yourself

One of my favorite Characters, is Named Vazir who is a Draconic Lineage, Tiefling Sorcerer. But the thing is he ISN'T a Sorcerer, He's not even a Tiefling. He was a lonely Bronze Dragon who while attempting to polymorph into a Human through a potion, unfortunately something went wrong with the Potion so instead of he became a red-ish bronze skin human, his horns and tail hadn't fully disappeared which is why he looks just like a Tiefling, and as he levels up and gets Draconic lineage bonuses like wings, spells and stuff, I play off as the Potion gradually wearing off. His backstory is that, his a kind hearted Dragon, but lonely as a Goth, he transformed so he could find and experience companionship and make friends among the bipedal races. Everyone loves him because of how genuine and curious he is, however he's terrible at social etiquette, as he he plain doesn't understand them. He'd walk around Town naked without seeing anything wrong with it, and just makes decisions of 'if it can be done this way, then why not?' which normal people find out of common sense

"It's not uncommon for sorcerers to have similar backstories to rogues."
*Shows a character that seems to be Rogue (from X-man)*
Ha, Nice.

See, now this just wants to make me see a story where a Wizard couple adopts cast out sorcerers and teaches them to use their magic for good

The best description I have ever been given for a sorcerer is; "Sorcerers are the jocks of spellcasters"

What's the lore for why you always say, "I'll see you at sundown"?

I actually have a major arcane institution in my game world that act both as an academy for Wizards and act as a sanctuary for Sorcerers. The institute’s tenants are to help society as a whole shed their fear of magic users, so it’s in their best interest to help Sorcerers tame and control their powers. This is why in my game world the relationship between Wizards and Sorcerers isn’t nearly as tense, it’s more of a friendly rivalry than outright animosity. Wizards work hard to get their powers, Sorcerers work hard to tame their powers, both are working to normalize magics and make a difference.

Of course their are still rogue wizards and hermit sorcerers causing problems, but that’s just good storytelling.

As someone with a bais for sorcerers I’m glad to see this! Makes me want to play my old goodest boy Innik again, shut up a few of the wizard haters because of his range of skill with magic. (I play 3.5, Innik is my Silver Dragonwrought Kobold Sorcerer/Wizard whom as of my last session before the dm hit a rut, had taken his first level in the prestige class Ultimate Magus, which blends the raw power of Sorcery with the versatility Wizardry to empower their spells even more.)
