This could have been easily avoided tbh, this is why you need ✨communication ✨

It made me so sad when Scara said he was betrayed by his "mother", especially knowing Ei never considered him her son.... for her, he's just a failed experiment that she didn't discard right away because she felt

Raiden and Yae both went about this all wrong. First of all Ei didn’t give him independence, she abandoned him without any explanation and Yae wanting to “dispose of” a sentient being without even trying to lend a hand is straight up sociopathic. I don’t approve of Balladeers intentions but like all childhood traumas the problem began at home and Ei needs to take responsibility.

The fact that yae refers to him as an "IT" 💀

Raiden: "I feel as if I owe him something"

Yae: "Kill it"

I'm waiting for Raiden to be called in for some punishment for him, but also she'll probably get some herself for being neglectful and letting him run free unchecked

Scaramouche ended up in such a dark place all because of a lack of communication on Ei's part, and I really hope we get an event covering it or that Scaramouche's story quest might finally have them reconcile and at least forgive each other after talking thing's through.

And to the people chastising and insulting Miko for being "bad" she's not just some heartless monster, destroying Scaramouche back then would've been pragmatic and a smart thing to do considering his dangerous potential being let free into the world, and she was right for thinking so because she was considering the wellbeing of inazuma which is what she always does.

Bruh reading this comment section is giving me brain cancer so I'm going to clear up some points and give my two cents as someone who empathizes and likes both Ei and Scara. For one, you can't compare the situation between the two of them. I keep seeing things like 'oh, Ei's situation was worse!' or 'scara had it worse' and honestly? Both had it bad and it's not right to compare trauma. Ei lost all her support in her life within a short period of time and was unprepared for the mantle she was never meant to have. Scara was abandoned by his creator whom he sees as his mother and was forced to acclimate to a harsh world as a clueless, fragile being who overcompensated after all his heartbreaks by being overtly cruel to cover up his hurt. Both Ei and Scara were suffering and to an extent, you can't even fault the actions they took. Ei brought forth the Sakoku decree because SHE genuinely believed it was the right thing to do and there was no one around her who could tell her that she was being too reckless and impulsive with the decision (because they're all, yk, dead). We as outsiders can see that it was objectively a terrible decision but she did not know that yet. Her whole character arc is of her coming to the realisation that her actions were, in fact, not for the benefit of Inazuma, and growing out of her trauma and accepting the deaths of Makoto. Scara was a literal child that came as a byproduct of this grief that she felt, and suffered for Ei's decisions. He experienced terrible things that he did not have the emotional and mental capacity to at the time which resulted in his skewed understanding that things that hurt him = betrayal. Was it his fault that he ended up like that? No, it was circumstance and he was never inherently evil. This is emphasized in canon multiple times.

TLDR: Both Ei and Scara suffered. I agree that Ei should not have abandoned Scara but I can understand why she did it. Scara's whole story is a product of unfortunate circumstances. Both of them need therapy and to actually talk to each other and clear things up.

Am I the only one who finds these Sakura petals suspicious? Maybe Yae was responsible for the death of that kid

I understand why scara became this because of his mother and the blacksmith and I guess dying means you abandoned him (poor kid tho) but I do understand why he thought of this as abandonment cause of the broken promises of the past

What Ei did is like leaving an energetic 3 year old unattended at a crowded street market

it broke me when scara said he was abandoned by his creator, his mother. The eng VA did such a good job :((
and dont get me wrong i like scara as a character because he's interesting, it doesn't mean i support what hes doing. But i understand why hes doing this. Hes been wronged so many times so he comes to the conclusion that humans or people just arent worth it.

And correct me if im wrong but he wants revenge, and he doesnt want to get hurt again. Its sad, and honestly i hope scara will have a redemption ark. he needs love. And if the Raiden Shogun can be forgiven of what all she did, and had a redemption ark, i think scara can have one too.

I’m thinking Scara’s blacksmith friend was a member of the Kaedehara clan. He has a red streak in his hair just like Kazuha and it would explain why Scara went out of his way to attack them.

Me, trying not to cry every time I hear Yae Miko call him an "it".

Scaramouche. Balladeer, Kunikuzushi or anything you wanna call him has a mind of a child. Raiden Ei isn't bad just neglectful. But many forgot that Ei looks at her creation as mere creation, no connection or bond of a family. Scara on the other hand precieve Ei as family, his mother.

And when you see someone as your mom you expect guidance from them but, Ei doesn't see herself as a mother or any parental figure towards any of her creations. They are just creations build by herself. In short in her eyes they are mere Dolls.

Until she created one product too close of being human.

In her mind with human qualities presents on this creation killing or shutting it down would be too cruel so in her judgement she just let it be, not thinking of consequences her actions would bring.

Yae Miko's part is logical and sensible. But many ignore the fact that she isn't girlbossing since she made it worse.

In the husk of opulent dreams there says Scara went to a shrine maiden asking for help and being promised help will come since he hold an insignia representing the electro archon's blessing. But help never came or maybe it did came. Giving mercy and help to all and the child she straight cutting out his misery since it's obvious he isn't saved from the diseas created by the dead God. Seen in the cutscene, petals of Sakura are shown and there are not many sakura tree in tatarasuna since it's contaminated, unless the sakura death bed were put there intentionally.

This turned for the worst tho. Was it anticipated or was it planned by Miko to show Ei that what she let roam around is dangerous and must be disposed of.

of course this all are just my judgement and headcanon. All are pure specualtions from recent lore i've seen.

Spoiler Alert!!

heh. Ei should take pointers from Karkata's owner but since he's also dead I couldn't really blame Ei. No guidance on how to properly treat her creation is just another reason why I feel no sadness on Raiden makoto's death.

The people who keep saying that Yae Miko isn't evil is delusional. You can have evil people doing good things for wrong reasons.

- is willing to kill the 'creation' of her master behind her master's back out of convenience.
- sees people as nothing else but inconsequential beings that she can get little entertainment out of once in a while.
- finds amusement of tricking and killing small birds (kinda sociopath) and
- enjoys intimidating, tormenting and trolling others.
I pulled for Yae Miko because of how evil she is. Were she a harbinger, the traveler wouldn't stand a chance.
