Unironically I like Wii U Mario Kart 8 more than the Switch one. Not having 2 items is a massive change of pace and really makes you think. Also the online servers usually have a lot of people. And if two or more players have the same mods, like custom tracks, you can play them together in a friend room, on Nintendo’s own servers. Try that on Switch, you’d be banned instantly.

It takes less than 30 minutes and is cheap, mine was 12 dollars for the SD card and 8 dollars for a SD to USB adapter for my PC

This hurts because i emulate splatoon 1 on my steam deck with all the online functionality, i'm gonna have to say bye bye to that in april and cave in on buying a switch or wait for their next gen system if i wanna keep playing my favorite game series
