Award-winning filmmaker Rudi Goldman has brilliantly captured the charm and magic that is Burgundy. Burgundy: People with a Passion for Wine is a movie for anyone who loves Burgundy, loves wine, or enjoys learning about how others pursue their passions. It is filled with heart, joy and laughter, is educational but not stuffy or dogmatic, and conveys the passions of the Burgundian wine industry with charm. Watching it further fueled my desire to not only visit Burgundy, but to know Burgundy. I watched it twice and loved it both times

Fabulous Gift!
ByDebbie on March 2, 2017
Format: Amazon Video
I bought this film as a present for my father-in-law who is a a great fan of the region and especially of the food and wines to be found there. We watched it together from start to finish! I loved the way it presents the growers, the chefs, connoisseurs, everyone involved - even the tourists who visit the region just to experience the passion and sensations that go with all things bourgondian. It's a feel good film that delights the senses and made me want to book a vacation to Burgundy right away! I highly recommend this as a gift for any wine lover and traveller or just a collector's item.

Brilliant film maker Rudi Goldman has created a jewel to be enjoyed by winemakers, wine aficionados and all who love wine, travel and gourmet food. A must see for winemakers worldwide. Video beautifully captures the expressions and passions of the narrators and portrays the beauty of the Burgundy landscape. Combined with an insider's view of the artistry in the kitchens of famed Michelin starred chefs. The film kept pace with the joyous wine celebrations very few have had, an opportunity to experience. What fun! Loved the film.

Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward eagerly to whatever subject ...
ByJosh Pachter on February 27, 2017
Format: Amazon Video
I must confess that I'm not very knowledgable about wine. I've seen other work by Rudi Goldman, though — his Peter Paul & Mary TV specials, LET'S ROCK TONIGHT, AFFAIR IN THE AIR — so I watched PEOPLE WITH A PASSION FOR WINE more for the film maker than for the subject matter. Goldman delivers such a compelling behind-the-scenes introduction to the folks who turn those Burgundy grapes into Burgundy wine, though, that I walked away with a whole new appreciation for the region, its people, and its primary export. Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward eagerly to whatever subject this talented craftsman chooses to tackle next.

Real People, Real Passion
ByAmazon Customer on March 2, 2017
Format: Amazon Video
This is a movie about real people, not actors, that have a passion for what they do. The film crew really captured the passion of vineyard workers, and winemakers in the Burgundy region of France. Based on our previous visit to Burgundy, I sense this passion is real. This is a great movie to view if you are planning to visit France, especially the Burgundy area.

For one hour, we are Burgundy
ByE. Smith on February 27, 2017
Format: Amazon Video
The award-winning documentary, Burgundy: People with a Passion for Wine, captures a similar sense of celebration. Through a series of video snapshots across time and place, the door into Burgundy’s wine, culture, and lifestyle is opened to us. For one hour, we become Burgundy. We experience the excitement of harvest. We learn of the power of Mother Nature’s wrath when hail damages precious grapevines. We listen to the wisdom of notable producers. Other perspectives of Burgundy are intertwined to give us a comprehensive portrait of the wine, food, and people of Burgundy.

Gifted filmmaker Rudi Goldman has done it again! This is a stunningly beautiful film, that is not just about wine, but about the culture, and the people, and their passion for the centuries old lifestyle and celebrations surrounding winemaking. The film has won numerous awards, because it brilliantly captures the essence and the beauty of a region and a people, whose livelihoods, lifestyles and love of wine and food are expertly portrayed by Goldman. If you're looking for a fast paced adventure flick, this is not the movie for you. If you are intellectually curious, and appreciate quality filmmaking, outstanding visuals, interesting interviews, and the opportunity to learn about wine, and Burgundy, in particular, this film is a must see!

Very well done
By Stacy W on February 27, 2017

A very well done and beautifully shot documentary which shows the essence of the wine industry in Burgundy without being overly studious or overly romantic. This is a classroom worthy film that I have recommended to my wine students.
