There is the Hohojiro clan which Shiver was born to and the clan is made up of shark tamers. Frye was born into the Onaga clan which is made up of eel charmers, and Big man was born into the Manta clan, which is made up of manta rays.

8:25 my interpretation of this is how Splatlands interpretae the same flood that ALSO hit Inkopolis. While there was the result of the Great Turf War and separated Octarians from the Inklings, in the SPlatlands they were saved by the Three Lights, aka the three clans that Shiver, Frye and Big Man are from. Shark Clan, Eel Clan and Manta clan. Pretty much saying that instead of going to war for territory, they were saved by the three clans and there was no war, perhaps proving while there Octolings were chilling alongside Inklings.
That's my headcanon, at least.

For those who are wondering. The reason why agent 3 has clothe underneath her uniform, it’s because it isn’t a new set of clothe it’s just part of her uniform. Since her uniform is just a jacket and there in the North Pole obvs their gonna have a shirt underneath and the bandages on her arm and legs are gloves and socks and the pants I think are explainable.

I think what the light symbols matching the individual Deep Cut member symbols means are as follows:
We can see in other sunken scrolls that each member of Deep Cut is part of a different clan. Clans usually have symbols attached to them, if I'm not mistaken. What I think happened is that those who witnessed the symbols in the sky branched into three different clans, each with one of the symbols. Now, Deep Cut has formed, and they're each from one of the clans. They probably use their clan's symbols to represent both themselves and their clans. This unintentionally and symbolically(hah) recreates people seeing the 3 symbols united in the sky, by people seeing Deep Cut high up on floats during day 1 and high on a stage together during day 2 of every splatfest.
