You can actually take your diagonal flip surprisingly far. If everything else is perfect. Like your cancel and jump time. But number one thing DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL IT.

the speedflip is just barely faster than boosting. So anything other than nearly perfect will (while still faster) likely make you land incorrectly. Wasting speed on what could have been a perfect one. Teaching you to use powerslide everytime you do it wasting more speed.
I have a about an 80% success rate with the speedflip with Mustys kickoff test and that other 20% is just because my consistency is trash. And i get the angle or cancel off. But i still keep most of my momentum. So I never use powerslide. You wanna use it cause you try to control the speedflip and ruin the landing
