Yes no-fly zones are enforced by jets, same principle on the ground, no trespassing is enforced by security.

Sooo... a no-fly zone is enforced by flying aircraft into a no-fly zone to destroy SAMs that discourage aircraft flying in the no-fly zone, so all your other aircraft can fly in the no-fly zone? In somebody else's country?

The Growler really does represent a leap forward in EW and SEAD, it's got all that capability and still handles like a fighter, a step up from the Prowler for sure!

So, a "no fly zone" is not about deterrence against possible attacking aircrafts but destroying actual "no fly" devices. BTW, the pilot admits that the US had "ground forces" on Lybia against Gadaffi; interesting
