Sonia Gandhi was only an MP, apart from this she did not hold any post, no constitutional post of any importance, then how could she get permission to use military aircraft for personal use, who gave this permission?

Only five non-military civilians have this right. They happen.

1. President

2. Vice President

3. Prime Minister

4. Defense Minister

5. Home Minister

In case of emergency, the Chief Minister can also get this permission.

Sonia Gandhi does not have any of these posts but whenever she went out to campaign, she used to take the army's Apache helicopter or Bombardier jet.

Apache helicopter consumes 2000 liters of jet fuel an hour. That means apart from the pilot and other staff, the cost of one hour is Rs 3 lakh. The Bombardier jet is specially designed and its flight cost is five times more than that of a fighter jet.

With whose permission were these airplanes available to Sonia Gandhi for personal use despite being only an MP?
