When I see a low critic score and high audience score, it is always a good sign. The critic score is so easily purchased or lost, audience is much harder to gain or lose. I am going to see this movie.

The funny thing about Shaft is it also didn't even really push nudity. Outside of just one scene, there wasn't nudity in a film that could've had tons of it. Must've made the critics mad that even season 8 GoT had more nudity.

I saw it today. It delivered in what a Shaft movie is. It was engaging, funny, and the right mix of action with everything else. Storytelling was on point if not overly complex, people are pretty smart these days, not going to count that against them. The acting was solid as well, I found everyone believable and relatable. Most of all it pays homage to the past, present, and the future by passing the torch in a well done manner which seems to be so fumbled and lost these days. It's a movie done right simply. I would advise pretty much anyone to go see it. Lastly, it was unapologetic in addressing the current climate of politics and wokeness in a way a normal person looking in would, the few times it came up. Which I found to be a cherry of greatness on top.
