Amazing how life changes. I was a teen in primary school. Mikael Gorbachev was a leader of the USSR, Margaret Thatcher was the Prime minister of the UK, Ronald Reagan was the President of the US. Here in South Africa P.W. Botha was the president of South Africa. It was a taboo to talk about Nelson Mandela (in fact you could be jailed for it). Some of us didn't even know who this Nelson Mandela was. Life was completely different to what it is today. But indeed, like The Pet Shop Boys say, Revolution was taking a stance in South Africa. I was young and innocent, only knowing about what was happening at current, not knowing how the future was going to be like. I was fascinated by the Pet Shop Boys although I really didn't quite understand what they were talking about in their music. But today it's over 30 years down the line and I am playing "Alright" by the Pet Shop Boys. What I could only just hear back then, I can understand today. Amazing how life changes. "Alright" takes me back to the days when I was a young boy. It reminds me of how life use to be back then. It reminds me of how much I use to love this song, even though I couldn't quiet understand what it was talking about. I miss the good old days!

Oh man..My parents bought me the cassette tape of this album for Christmas. I was 11 years old and this tune gave me chills. It played it in serious rotation. Mmmm, how I melt when the female vocals hits!

Que suerte del destino, haber disfrutado estas canciones de grupos como los pet shop boys, New Order, ABC, Erasure, Despeche Mode y otros, una época de mucha inspiración en las fusiones de tecno y dance para bailar; que tiempos, en verdad esto si era el mejor tecno dance de los 80's .

Comprei esse álbum aos 16 anos. Ouvia diariamente durante muitos meses, acho que 1 ano até! Tadinha da mãe aturar isso! Que época boa! Não tinha quem não gostasse dessas músicas. Bom demais! Pena que essa preciosidade foi doada sem eu saber pelo meu pai há uns 2 anos 😭
