It's easy to forget that the Galactic civil war wasn't primarily space and ground battles (like the Clone wars for example), but guerrilla warfare and a lot of civil unrest.
That's why is one of my favorite conflicts of fiction.

That thumbnail made me feel bad for the Imperial stormtroopers, because they were just as much human beings as the Rebel soldiers were, in fact, some stormtroopers where just brainwashed from young ages, it's so sad 😢...

Amazing how selfish animals primarily concerned about survival can be compelled to take part in causes beyond any one individual. Be that justified or not, its facinating how simple tribalism can explode into something much more than it is.
