Philippines here. We have laws that prosecute cheating partners. Adultery for the wife. Concubinage for the husband. Both can be sent to Jail. Although not thoroughly enforced. This limits and punishes cheating. So males refrain from getting to involve in married females. As the only country with no divorce apart from the Vatican. Filipinos are family oriented, happiness of one is foregone for the sake of the family and children. The sanctity of marriage must be protected.

I think this is absolutly right. Also the laws about cheating should be brought back. Who ever cheats will be punished and the third party have to compensate. Marriages and faithfullness have to be protected so marriages are even worth the risk.

I dont agreed about what you said to not return the dowry after the marriage ends...a lot happens in marriage and the responsibility shouldn't fall on the man alone.
She might keep 20/30% but if the marriage doesn't works out she should definitely return it.
