To those commenting below about copper, bronze, etc - I think I can explain. This is a clip from an old video, if I am not mistaken. The original was better because it was more comprehensive but this cut to the nuts and bolts of the 2 most popular monetary metals.

But what about copper, bronze and iron? And the end also doesn't really explain how gold wins over silver.. the description said ''why is gold used as early money instead of other metals?''

but but, silver corrodes in air, and aluminum doesnt really ( just a thin layer of oxidization ) And copper/bronze has been used as money. Lead and tin could be, but are too common. Its more about how common than just reactivity and radioactivity.

So where dose copper and brass fit in there

Why copper cant be money? Copper doesnt corrode, it creates patina, same like silver. So why copper cant be money? It doesnt corrode or dissolve or catch on fire

interesting for the big idea, but incorrect imprecise and not scientifically rigorous.
