Great cleaning motivation!!! My plans for today are to give the main living areas a good vacuuming (never use a broom), tidy and give my daughter room a good mom clean, laundry (of course) and make pumpkin protein bars...along with moving the camera for good shots....haha!! I'm "old fashioned" too. I still use a broom but not the dust pan. Instead, I use the same small hand vacuum that you use to collect what I've swept up.

I use a broom. A vacuum just doesn't get all the nooks and crannies in the kitchen for me.

Thanks for sharing your dessert recipe. It is always a good thing when someone gets a compliment from their mother in law. I am old school also, I use a broom to sweep my kitchen floor. I find it more effective than the vacuum.

I still use a broom to sweep. I’m new to this vacuuming non carpeted floors. I’ve never seen it until I started watching YouTube cleaning videos. This is very new to me!! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Crystal, I NEED A NAP AFTER WATCHING YOU MOVE ABOUT THE HOUSE AND CLEANING EVERYTHING. I LIKE USING A BROON AND DUST PAN. I LOVE THE SPIN MOP FOR WASHING THE KITCHEN FLOOR, LAUNDRY ROOM, AND POWDER ROOM.

Tara, I also hang our tops after a few minutes in the dryer on HIGH to release wrinkles. I have a broom and dustpan set (like you see used in restaurants, theme parks, etc) in my kitchen which gets used constantly. Actually it is one of my favorite gifts to give for Baby Showers 😉. I usually also include a pack of micro fiber clothes. After being a stay at home grandmother to two little ones for 4+ years, I found these two items to be indispensable if you have babies and toddlers.

FYI Crystal, if you spray your door track with silicone spray after you clean it, you won't believe how great it glides open and closed. Enjoy your videos! It HAS been the most wonderful fall here in South Dakota!
