I'm new to your channel. I have been trying to find a planner that works for me for many years. The ideas you shared here help me to see I need more follow-through on completing tasks. I liked your comments regarding decorating a planner vs. not decorating. I like some color on pages...not black and white, but a lot of decorating doesn't leave me with room to write in my larger handwriting.

After watching several of your videos I began working on a "system" for me. After much trial and error I finally have the system. Because I have MS my cognitive function is all messed up. I rely heavily on this one system which is in a TN. I have experienced all the benefits you have mentioned. It was amazing the day when I realized a week-at-a-glance plus daily pages (half timed and half grid) fit my brain like a glove. The peace of mind I get from a year long month-on-two-page calendar is priceless. My system in a nutshell is to have One Book July year round. Everything is in my planner--calendars, meal planning and grocery list, future planning, gift planning, reference info, anything Bible related and a brain dump. Thank you for all the great advice I have been able to follow, as well as getting to enjoy your setups!

Great video! You are so right about spending 20 minutes to find something that you wrote down and then can't find it. Urggghhh!!! That is one reason why I am working to develop a system that works for just for me!

Husband and I retired early (mid 50s) and sold the house, bought an RV and are touring the country. My planning system drastically changed. I have a planner for our route and trip log, keeping track of gas and mileage and where we're stopping for the night or nights. Another planner is for our bills. They are automatically taken out, but I keep track of them and any major expenses for the RV. My third is my journal for our destinations. We've done 12, 000 miles and I couldn't possibly remember where we've been. This is my journal for the places we've seen and all the people we've met. This is the most important one.

I would love to see how your reviews are done. Your videos have been a great resource for me as I reintegrate into a paper planning system.

I'd love to see a flip of the Hobo and how that fits in to your system. Thanks for all of the good info. PS. Nice to see you posting videos again!

Thanks, sis for sharing! Since June, my system has been digital. I attend lots of meetings and have to handle and carry lots of papers and manuals. I have now put all of those papers and manuals in my digital system. It relieves me of carrying so much and printing out so much paper. There are some things that are not conducive to a digital system; those things I still use a paper system, and that works for me. Archival has been simple, like Evernote for you. I would love to utilize my Evernote more and integrate it into my system. Still working on that one! Be blessed! C.

Hi Carie, I recently discovered your channel and I have been watching your videos nonstop for about a week and a half. You mentioned in a few videos that you are doing some online classes. I am wondering if you would be open to share those classes with us. Curious mind here, and I am always looking to improve.

Great video, Carie! One big benefit for me is reducing anxiety and stress levels. If I know things are written down in my planner, then I am more relaxed and my brain doesn't keep mentally picking up that task and fussing with it. Makes such a difference!

Yes! Figure out what works and stick with it, stay consistent. Focus on completion. Omg. Three things I need to write down: what I PLAN to do each day, what I ACTUALLY do each day, and indexing certain things at the end of the day each day. WAIT! What do you mean “detailed stuff goes into Weeks?” You have rocked my world with this idea. Now I have a way to switch up what I carry while still keeping my past info with me as well. THE WEEKS! it's perfect for that. small and compact.
