Its the tiny compartment lid only. It says “the board” can break if over 60kg are placed on it. “The board” can dislocate if a load applied from above onto the back of the board. Me and my girl had dinner back there and it didn’t even make a sound.

60kg max cargo limit? So if my 70kg self sits on it, it gets damage? What a BS decision to put the battery there. I can see this being a huge problem for a lot of people.

I think the weight limit was on that storage area towards the edge of the platform

60KG limit is just for that board over the small cargo space back there, not for the entire floor

I hope the GX550 come to South Africa. The more I look at reviews of the LC Prado, the more it disappoints... I owned 2 previous Prados, but will not go for a 3rd

But definitely will want to own this Lexus

Sad that both of these are overshadowed by the 4runner despite costing far more.

Toyota is losing sight of what is important in a vehicle. It's not excessive HP/ torque and unneeded tech features.

I like the simplicity of their older designs. Tons of cargo space, enough power, perfect amount of tech. These manufacturers are in a race to the bottom IMO

I'm pretty sure the weight restriction is just for the plastic storage compartments towards the tailgate and the ones towards the front of the vehicle.

Not necessarily over the battery.

I like how the warning sticker - directly applied to the battery cover - has people trying to say it doesn't apply to the battery cover area. But means something else. Even though that warning sticker is attached to the battery cover.

The weight restriction is only the lid in the very back. Still stupid but it’s not the whole cargo area. If it was the whole cargo area, this car would be completely useless as an SUV.

As long as one doesn’t exceed the design parameter of 60kg by more than 1.7% or 1.734 kg or 3.8lbs😅

For the price point of the Land Cruiser there’s so much left out that should be standard. For those who just want an off road vehicle without the bells and whistles would you spend 66-78k for this? Or go cheaper and with something true and tested?

I have heard that weight limit is only for the lid of small storage box in front of the batteries. Have you heard that from Toyota?
