Simple facts

The U.K. produces about 380 million tons of CO2 per year. In year to date March 2022 China produced 12 BILLION tons of CO2. China’s output increased by 600 million tons over the previous year. That means even if the U.K. went zero carbon tomorrow, China would consume our reductions in 7 months.

All the pain you want to put U.K. citizens through gives the climate 7 months.

And India currently the worlds third biggest emitter is only just starting its path on the carbon economy.
