Cross Sum is a simple math puzzle, where the numbers 1 to 9 are placed in a 3 by 3 grid, with operators in between. You have to solve the 6equations – 3 horizontally, 3 vertically – matching the results at the right and at the bottom of the grid. There are some additional rules:

- Calculate from left to right: 1 + 3 x 4 = 16, not 13
- The first operator can be plus or minus, the second can be all four
- The intermediate result and the end result have to be zero or greater
- Only integer numbers (whole numbers) are allowed, no fractions

Cross Sum Standard lets you:

- Create standard Cross Sum puzzles with numbers 1-9
- Using the ‘standard’ operators for these puzzles – the first one can be plus or minus, the second one can be anything
- Only whole numbers (integer numbers) are allowed
- Customize the font, colors, line width and canvas color
- Create Instant Puzzle Books
- Sell your puzzles and puzzle books

For rebels amongst us, there’s also a version that breaks the rules: Use different numbers, negatives, fractions, or even use the regular math operator precedence, in Cross Sum Variations (see “Product Comparison” below).
