Met Kris in dt Portland getting signatures to legalize weed. Most people hate petitioners regardless of the cause and when I asked if he was an Oregon voter he said no but then stopped me to talk about what it was for and was so very cool and friendly. Literally grew up listening to Nirvana and something I won’t forget.

If you love his playing, check out a band he was in around the turn of the century. It was called Eyes Adrift and their album was titled Eyes Adrift as well. It has Bud from Sublime on drums and Curt Kirkwood from Meat Puppets on guitar and vocals, and it’s excellent.

Krist sings on a song about Jon Bennet Ramsey titled Flowers on Your Grave and it’s excellent.

So is “Alaska” and the last track on the record, “Pasted” is outstanding! Krist sings on it, too.

Do not sleep on this project. It’s the best stuff he did after Nirvana, imo, and it didn’t even get a passing mention, which is just unfortunate

i could be wrong, but i’m pretty sure dave never asked krist to join foo fighters. he said on the howard stern show in 2011 that “we never even talked about it. it was WAY too heavy”

I have no reason for Krist topping Dave Grohl, but he definitely tops Kurt for me
I love Kurt, but Krist's personality is just so relatable
