As non-scientist, I have some questions about this way of data storage.
How can scientists guarantee the preservation of all the needed microorganisms in order to save the data for such long period of time?
If these microorganisms are able to record, edit and transfer the data but they are unable to survive in the real environment because of the presence of some other natural bacterias that can kill and eat everything they need, where is the certainty you'll be able to store so many information for long term?

The human cell requires self-repairing machinery to keep up with the damage from radiation sources. That issue needs to be thought out before this is used. Moving data around and correcting it as you do might be the only way.
