This is interesting for me I'm a British Turk from Trakya (Thrace) was born in Istanbul. Culturally we may have a lot in common with these Gagauz Turkish people. Most of our roots were from Europe. Although I don't follow a religion most of our families are secular it's interesting and cool these people are Christians. I'm also quite interested in Tengrism the original Turkic nature religion. I believe it is rising in places like Azerbaijan and some youth in Turkiye. Look forward to your next video.

Turkish, Gagauz and Azerbaijani are over 90% mutually intelligible, which is great that you noticed. The difference between them is about the same as the dialects of Dutch.

Hi Davud, I was able to get to parts of the world lesser known to many because of your videos. I have been watching your videos long before i decided to subscribe. So ashamed that you've travelled in parts of our country, the Philippines, even I as local have not gone to. Thank you for being always respectful and generous to all locals in whatever country you choose to travel.

Gagauz has very high intelligibility with Turkish, so high that it may be a dialect of Turkish. SIL says that not only Gagauz but also Balkan Gagauz Turkish are separate languages, but I wonder what criteria they are using to split them. The Gagauz are Christians living in Moldavia who strangely enough speak a Turkish language with many Christian Slavic loanwords.
