When I visited Russia the first time, I instantly felt home and the deep-down connection. Why? Was it because I had never felt home in the U.S.? I felt more so with the recent anti-Asian violence in U.S.

I'm from Finland. Unfortunately in our media and political leadership are some very pro-NATO (although Finland is not a NATO member) and pro-EU people who demonize Russia 24/7 and would cut the existing relationships rather than develop. Russia (formerly the Soviet Union) has for decades been the most important trade partner for Finland and I think we should participate to this co-operation with Russia and China. Would make a lot of more sense than taking the USA + EU side in this global combat of hegemony and hostility.
