15 years ago, a class at my old school took a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts, and one middle schooler decided to take his gum out of his mouth and stick it on one of the paintings. The painting was called "The Bay" by Helen Frankenthaler. That painting costed about $1.5 million.
