Maybe I just don't have refined taste in art, but I feel like there are many other artists who have created very similar art, if not better. They're not nearly as famous as Picasso. So why is his art in particular so great?

I remember when i was having art training and gathering in UK, in our group was very old artist lady, she asks the question, Do you think Picasso was fooling people?! we all looked each other silencely and no one answered, respectively i looked at her and ask, what you think?!, she straits looked at my eyes and said, Yes he was fooling peaple, I told her, you are totally right, your beautiful realistic flowers paintings are hundred times better than Picasso paintings. All the group smile..

To the people who say Picasso is a bad artist, I would like them to show me another who is capable of painting the same way as him. Is there any other who is capable of taking a normal human face, and make it in the same manner as "the whipping woman" ?

Are they able to create a whole new genre of painting, never seen before?

With some training I really think picasso could have been skilful. I think he made a name for himself and could not believe his luck. Any BS he painted, people drooled over. I think he was trolling everyone

Awful childish concept, I am always puzzled how this person has managed to achieve such fame, most of it is to do with money, so long as the Art dealers, the galleries the auctioneers are making money, look at the absurd prices for which some of Picasso's paintings are sold and you will begin to understand what i mean, true Picasso does have some artistic potential, but he is not that good....
