The first time I re-watched this after a traumatic family loss, I balled like a baby. It’s a wonderful message for coping, and coming to terms with living with grief and loss.

As a kid, I used to browse the extras of my family's copy of The Incredibles, and I remember this as one of them...great times.

Whenever I watch this short, I just picture The Incredibles' Rick Dicker putting on a straw hat, sitting on a rocking chair, and playing the banjo.

A little story of the great impact this wonderful short ended up having on my family, and why I tend to happy- cry every time I see it (And, before anyone inevitably says "Fake" or "Made up, " I give you my word as a Christian that every word of it is true):
About 12 years ago, my mother was planning to have a minor operation done to remove some small growths from her face. While the operation itself was to be an easy one, she was saddened to learn that after it, she'd have to wear a bunch of big ugly bandages over those parts of her face for at least a day or two. See, at the time, she was working as a second- grade teacher, and considering that young children tend to be extremely curious about strange new things and often not very tactful in responding to them, she knew that her next day at work after the operation would be a humiliating one, and was feeling incredibly depressed over the anticipation of it.
The evening she got that news, I (Who didn't know about any of this until afterwards) called and told her that they would be airing on TV a "Pixar Shorts" special, just because she and I were both Pixar fans and so I figured she'd like it.
That feeling turned out to be an understatement.
That night while watching the special, when Mom saw 'Boundin', ' it really hit her hard. She saw the Lamb's dilemma in it as similar to her own, and so she took the short's messages deeply to heart. It caused her to gain a much more optimistic outlook on the operation and its aftermath, and she handled the days wearing the bandages MUCH easier than she would have otherwise.
So, to everyone who worked on 'Boundin', ' thank you from the bottom of my heart; You helped my Mom learn how to bound.

i used to love this as a child ! i would dance just like the lamb and bounce up and down like the jackalope while watching and it used to make my parents laugh so much
