Here's my North Face Chilkat 400 boot review. Please subscribe to see more :)

I've only had these boots for about a week but I love them. I've already worn them in snow several times and walked 2 or 3 miles in them at a time.

Thank you for this useful review of your North Face 400 Chilkat Snow Boots. It's great to know how to get a better price. The boots look great and it sounds like they keep your feet warm in the icy snow. I really appreciate this review at this time of the year. This has been incredibly helpful for those of us who live in colder climates.

Thanks for review.
Will be interesting to see how they will be after some years.
Reviews at the official website is okay, but some reviews where these boots with cracked rubber are scary.

Id like to add to insulation topic. Ive had columbia fairbanks with 200g and trekked in -10C with no discomfort. I walked our dog in 0C and was colder. It all depends on activity level. If you are going trekking or walk at some pace. 200g is more then enough. If you are going to stand around a lot, slow walks you need 400g. If you are standing still for longer you need winter hunting boots with 800g or more. If you buy 600g or more and will be doing activity, you will sweat and get cold right away.

Hello mate; you mention bought it a half size bigger to use wool socks etc BUT if I want to use normal sports socks (thick but normal) and have a normal shaped feet (toes easy lined from smaller to bigger) what about to buy the same size as normally use a padded sneaker? also are true to size? Is Internationally buy for me hence the questions. Thanks

Great review. Would these work for someone with wide feet or are they more of a slim snug fit so not really?

Thanks for the review! How did the boots hold up after a year ? I saw a lot of videos showing them break apart easily.

How are they holding up? And how well would you say they hold up in pouring rain for hours outside? Also whats the coldest temperature before you started feeling your feet getting cold? Thank you and great video.

Do you recommend this boot for traveling or touring? There’s no snow here, just summer and rainy weather. Thank you

It might help if you mention the actual temperature in numbers instead of "it was cood but not frigid". I don't know what that means?

Are they true to size? Like did you have to go half a size up or down from your regular shoe size?

So they are to size? If you wear normal socks? Thanks!

Got this boot for this winter and was surprised on my first try on how it does not have any grip on ice, my sneakers have better grip than this boot, very disappointed

Wouldnt mind an update on this boot, i say that because there are catastrophic failures after less than 2 years. The plasticised rubber dries out and shatters and breaks. I will never buy this product again. At least, not at the price they ask for it.
