My little Jack once took off after a kangaroo through the scrub. I called and called, really worried because a roo can turn on a pursuer and kill it. I waited for going on an hour, calling his name and finally up he rushed, ears flat, eyes shining, big grin. He'd had a marvellous time.

My jack used to hunt gophers. She would spend hours in the field just tip toeing around and standing silently over a gopher mound before striking.
She got quite a few of them, too.

On long walks my Jack always remembered on the way back which trees were the ones the squirrels ran up.

My terrier mix mutt and I just got done from our end of the day sojurn (Miller time, substitute your favorite beverage of choice), on the deck i built over the creek that goes thru my mountain property. Just like clockwork, the squirrel shows up, and I swear, plays with him. It's a free show, put on nightly by the two of them. My dog is fast as hell, and has caught doves in flight (and eaten them) but he is no match, not even close, to Squirrely. I like to think, but have no idea, that it's the same squirrel that hits the bird feeder by the house, 1/4 mile away from the deck, and teases the the dog while he's at it.

We have lots of squirrels in our yard, and my Jack Russell chases them all the time. He's never caught one; I think they taunt him. They get into a tree, and as he is jumping up and barking, they come back down to within a few feet of him and just sit there watching him.

Jacks are lightning fast. Neighbor had one. Had the big sliding door facing the backyard where he would sit there waiting for squirrel activity. The second the neighbor cracked that door he was on those squirrels before they knew what hit them.

My Jack russel is adorable he sleeps funny lol he's 5 or 6 months old he know when he pees on floor so he goes into his cAge and starts to shake and when we say go get it toys he gets his bone and rope or chicken

When my Jack Russell was young, she caught two wild Jack Rabbits in our yard (on two different occasions). If you ever saw how fast a wild Jack Rabbit can run, you would be amazed that she caught it! But twice?! I didn’t know about it until I looked outside. Yuk! She half ate then let the other two dogs have it after she was done, apparently. All that was left when I saw it was a bloody hide and a few bones.

My two are quite funny. One will stalk like a cat, the other will freeze u til she thinks she can't be seen and will then charge.

Have a Jack aswell smaller in size than this. And he took down 3 opossums ina week, these little guys are full of energy
