We have Kentucky and Georgia back to back.
I’m scared of Kentucky.
I have a bad feeling about it.
And Georgia as of right now is still the best team in the Country.

This game will always have a special place in my heart.


So my uncle came over like a hour before the game began, and this was the first time since July when me and my aunt moved out that we saw him. Prior to us moving out he was very, very abusive, homophobic, racist, and more (I was born in Australia, him being an American-born he only respected American-born straight white men.) I dont know why my aunt let him come over but he did. Now, we both were Volunteers fans, which was the rare common thing we had. Ans when Tennessee won, we both could finally put our disagreements and hatred for each other aside for a few minutes and celebrate the triumph the Volunteers had over 'Bama.


That's why it's special.

That was 16 years of frustration coming out in that moment. The last time the Vols defeated the Crimson Tide prior to last season was 2006. The senior class at the university of Tennessee on that day was in kindergarten for that 2006 win. They nearly went through all their formal education from elementary school through college without seeing a Tennessee victory on the Third Saturday in October.

I was pulling so hard for Tennessee the entire game. Historic moment in college football history. I called my mom after the kick went in and sure enough she was up watching lol. We went on to talk about how much we love the college game and the passion of the fans. This game was so good it made me reflect on my love for the game. Its a simple game, but it means a lot to so many.

It’s crazy cause eventhough I went on nightshift at the factory @7pm… we were all streaming it on our phones and our desk TVs… then as the field goal was kicked.. all the alarms in the plant went off and dozens of people trying to get on the intercom to sing Rocky top or say “it’s good!” It was a crazy night for sure !
