Amen. My stepson came to live with us. He was 25. He brought his pregnant girlfriend with him. They both expected me to cook and do their laundry etc. There was no way! When I told her to get off her lazy azz and help, they moved out! Whew

My stepfather came in my mom's life when she was single with THREE children. Our father died but still many men would have not done it. He was and is the salt of the earth. Yeah we put him to the test, truly, but when we were grown and they broke up, all of us still called him Dad. Our children call him, PopPop. We adore him. He earned it. A man's man.

Edit/Update: He just passed a week ago. I can't describe how heartbroken I am. All my children and my oldest grandson attended the service. We loved him so. His enduring legacy. I and my oldest son were at his bedside when he passed. 😭💔
