Ozempic is the best decision I have ever made. 50 pounds overweight for years, I wish I could have done this sooner. Starting weight 202 current weight 188, in 2 months. Slow and steady is what I am looking for!

It blows my mind docs have been all about prescribing meds for obesity side effects like cholesterol, diabetes, depression, sleep apnea. But God forbid they treat the obesity. I really hope finally acknowledging obesity as a chronic disease rather than a human failure will turn this tide. Life doesn’t have to be so hard. I love to hear that this drug is helping people live better lives.

Imagine the frustration of doing nearly every single thing you've discussed today (short of berberine) and seeing nearly zero change in set point weight over a decade. I swim, row and lift weights (5 days a week of intense exercise), I switched employers after 2 decades to lower chronic stress (that was a huge life change and well worth it), I got a dog and we walk 3-8 times a day. I've worked with 2 nutritionists and eat great (and enjoy it), I guard my sleep like its gold, I drink plenty of water (although I go in stretches where I can do better). I've basically been a 'fatlete' and while that's been frustrating, its much better than simply giving up.

Ive had hashimotos that was undertreated and when my thyroid hit the point of atrophy and menopause started, I gained 40lbs in a year and over the last decade I couldn't lose 5lbs to save my life. I'm now on week 10 of Wegovy and I've lost 10lbs. My goal was to deal with chronic inflammation (to your point, you can't lose weight if you're not metabolically healthy) but I'm happy to see the weight changes as well as a significant reduction in CRP. Ive seen the most impact in areas where bloating turned to fluid retention, then to edema, then to lymphatic draining issues. I've lost an entire 1/2 size in running shoe, 2 cup sizes in bra, my inner thighs are slimmer and the area around my armpits is more toned (no irony these are all high lymph node areas!).

This treatment has its place and I feel I'm a poster child for it - I've tried everything, been consistent and persistent, and would continue to do those things with or without this treatment. Good luck to everyone trying to be healthier - I hope you find success and find it using natural healthy means first - your body will thank you in the long run!

I’ve been on this drug for over 2 years and have lost over a hundred pounds. Now, before this I also tried phentermine and shakes and working out and eating different and also went into Thyroid medicine. It takes alll of these things to think about to be able for this to work to the best benefit. Good luck for anyone else in this journey ❤

I've been on Ozempic for 16 months. I've lost 60 pounds. I had swollen ankles, insulin resistant, pre-diabetes, and I was a wreck in my early 60s. I had constipation when I first started, and now I diarrhea twice a week. I have nausea, but it's getting less every week. My main problem is electrolytes. I'm not getting enough protein, so I'm working on that. Ozempic has been a miracle drug for me.

I'm starting this week. My doctor convinced me Ozempic 0.25. I have been unable to lose the weight. I tried everything low carb, IF, Fasting etc. I would lose 10-15 pounds easily and then the hunger drive would come in a big wave and I end up gaining it all back. Once I gained everything back, the hunger stabilized so back to maintaining starting weight. I am also diabetic 7.8 A1C, 351 pounds, I have a HIP issue which requires surgery but no surgeon will touch me until I lose 100 pounds. The Insurance approved the Ozempic and my copay was $25 for the month. Wish me luck!

I have been on Mounjaro since 2/4/23 and have lost 30lbs (today I took my 10th injection). I am eating low carb, low fat, lean protein. I am drinking a low glycemic electrolyte daily and taking one super enzyme in the morning. I also do proficient reformer Pilates every day. People who eat added sugar or high carb diets will have more gastric side effects. You will be more successful in weight loss if you exercise and also have fewer gastric side effects if you eat low carb and drink a lot of water.

This was a great video. I started two months ago. I've lost about 16% of my excess weight. I've tried and failed before and I've tried and lost weight for 5 years and crept up due to various factors (injuries and stress). I'm in a hospital based weight loss program that is stressing mindful eating and exercise. It also has a psychological component. I know that much of my eating is a coping mechanism that has its foundations in childhood. My hope is to use this time to get lighter and increase my physical abilities. I know this is my burden to bear. Thank you for the solid advice.

I’ve lost 95 lbs. This was probably at least try #50 for me & after so many failures I finally decided to tell myself every morning “What if this time you don’t quit?” Believe me…you can do this “old school.” Count calories, write down what you eat, & eat things that contribute to feeling full such as lean proteins & fiber. High intensity exercise is super difficult when we carry around huge weight. I’d worry more about diet at first. I started out walking only 10 minutes/day. Now I do 3 miles/day including extremely difficult climbs with elevation changes. I couldn’t do this until around -60 lbs. Just keep adding a little bit at a time so you don’t get discouraged. The problem I see with a weight loss drug like Ozempic is that you’ll never become accustomed to managing the feeling of hunger in your body. You need to adapt to this or you’ll be at the mercy of this drug for the rest of your life!

Thank God for health care in Australia. Ozempic costs about $30 a month here. To hear it costs $1, 000 a month in the US blows my mind.

It's interesting that you give a pass and I agree with you on part of it, it's lovely to see so many people happy with their weight.
But - I have so many friends that never did anything but made fun of me for doing your program sticking to a clean diet and getting results the hard way. I wouldn't change a thing, I learned so much. Thank you so much JJ for putting your book out there and helping so many people. you truly continue to inspire - it can be done!
and just to be clear the people I am talking about - don't have diabetes, haven't tried everything - they just took the easy way out - and paid to lose weight and are now claiming they worked hard - I am just saying be real, be true and find the you that loves to be healthy.

I'm about to start Ozempic just as soon as my pre-authorization comes through. I'm excited because having that helping boost will encourage me to want to eat better and exercise so I can help with the results. I've been stuck at 235 for the longest time and my first goal is to get to 199 because I haven't been under 200 in years. When I make it to 199, my next goal will be to get to 150 and when I make it there I should be able to get off of several medications.

Hello! Thank you so very much. I am on my first week of ozempic. I have researched everything beforehand . I'm diabetic and the pounds just keep popping up. I totally agree with everything . I'm being very careful and appreciate all of your advice. My plan is to heal my metabolism and continue a healthy lifestyle. Will be tuning to your channel for more advice. Thanks for this valuable information.

Just started a week ago. Definitely reduced craving. No negative side effects, but I've generally been eating properly all along. I'd say so far so good. Feeling less general aches too. 30 pound loss is my modest goal.

I want to walk more but I'm 70, had both hips replaced. Walking is painful but a friend said to walk slowly and just enjoy it. Congrats on your weight loss

My oldest son is a type 2 diabetic . He was prescribed Ozempic to take along with his oral medication about a year ago. It has been so effective! His glucose has stabilized and his A-1C is greatly improved. The problem is he is having trouble filling his prescription because people are getting it for weight loss. Diabetics need their medication FIRST.

Both my family doctor and Oncologist suggested I stay away from that stuff. I've been on the Keto diet for about the past four months and dropped 45lbs along the way. Gut fat melting away like I've never been able accomplish before. Blood sugar is solid, A1C at 5.3. Joint pain and body aches I've learned to accept for years have vanished. Sure I miss all the fruit and veggies I've eaten all my life but I'm not craving them. Don't have any kind of hunger cravings anymore actually.
Basically the diet saved my life and certainly the quality of it. Doesn't cost a dime and there's zero side effects.

I have been on it a month and so far have lost 20 pounds. I have no side effects. Also it is making me younger because my hair is starting to grow back and it's black not grey!
