I like the hyperburst midsole and the outsole looks great. I'm not ruling them out but I'd have to change the insoles because the lump is too much for me. I agree with you about the weight though. I have the Nimbus and I really don't feel the weight because it rolls along so nicely.

Just bought some max Road 5's for £54.50 absolute bargain and so comfortable. Don't understand sketchers knockers, the athletic range is so good they do some really lightweight durable shoes. I think people get mixed up with the ones they sell in their stores

I had never owned a Skechers road running shoe, but I tried the Max Road 5 last year because of the many positive reviews. I sent it back for a refund after about 20 miles because it never softened up. For me the ride was just too harsh for an easy run shoe.

I recently bought this because my most favorite shoe the Puma Deviate Nitro 2 went flat and was to get a new replacement but my foot size was out of stock. I got this instead though I also own Nimbus 25. Initially I didn't like the huge cush at the arch that elevated it so much higher than my heel. I also had problems with the lacing that kept loosening on their own even with runners knot, drove me nuts with the ankle slips. I then affixed togs to cinch the laces instead and seems to fix the problem. I'm trying to walk with the shoes first to get used to the hunk of cush at the arch before starting to run

I was waiting for this shoe, but it's like waiting for Godot in the EU.
I have an injury and I need something like that. I have Nike invincible 2 which I really very much appreciate, but some more stability would be helpful. So I ordered More v4. No, I did not order an over-hyped and over priced Nimbus 25, which I actually would otherwise, but the price difference between Nimbus and More is 50 €. No brainer for me.
I would actually go for Maxroad 6 if it were available (I have v5).
But I'm not waiting for Sketchers to do something about supply of their shoes in the EU. Every stupid little store in my country has Skechers, but there are no Skechers performance to be found. No Maxroad 6 on the internet stores in the EU, only Ride 10 and 11 and the latest Razor and not much else.

I get why you review the skechers as they are doing interesting things and have a relatively new foam, but I cant get them over hear for anywhere close to that 145 dollar price point, i mean thats 115 in pounds... I can see them easily being picked up by those wanting the same sort of ride as the invincible 2, the 25 etc but not without supply?!

Make some ok shoes it’s just hard to take a copycat brand seriously. All they do is copy everyone else in every category.

I'm just going to say this here HOPING someone at Skechers reads my comment and THINKS TWICE before releasing the MaxRoad 7. "Hey Skechers, you are going in the WRONG DIRECTION regarding weight! & energy return!" Adidas DIDN'T LISTEN for YEARS and YEARS regarding the Boston!! Guess what? Adidas FOUND OUT. Nuff said.
