Sam Altman Has a Secret

Sam Altman is quickly becoming a household name. At 38-years old, the co-founder and CEO of OpenAI has already accomplished more than most people do in a lifetime, probably even two. As President of Y Combinator, Sam observed thousands of founders including Brian Chesky from Airbnb, the Collison brothers from Stripe, Tony Xu from DoorDash and Brian Armstrong from Coinbase. Sam has unquestionably thought a lot about what it takes to generate large amounts of wealth and create impactful products.

I've studied Sam Altman like a maniac for the past few weeks and read as much about him as I possibly could. In today's video, I'll share what I've learned with a particular focus on his incredible essay "How To Be Successful."

- ABOUT PROBABLY SOMETHING -
Hey, I'm Kunal. I'm a Swedish founder in NYC and ex-investment banker (Lazard M&A). You can think of this as my personal business blog, but in video format.

I create videos about finance, business strategy, M&A and mental models to help me better understand our complex business world. Through my work, I've mostly covered tech, media, healthcare, sports and holdcos so those are naturally the topics I gravitate towards.

My goal is to constantly challenge myself to become a better business operator, investor and thinker by studying world class founders, financiers and investors. I hope this channel will help you do the same.

Just sharing what I'm learning along the way and documenting my journey - nothing on here should be considered financial advice.

Love this format! Easy to listen to, almost like a pod.

Awesome work, great camera angle, and framing. Try placing yourself in front of the window so that sunlight lights up your face in a more natural way.
Much respect and love, Luca (Spaze)

4:40 bending the world to your will is just a spin on Steve Jobs "reality distortion field" that he was famously known to have... that we can create and form our world.

"Despite the fact that Sam was only 31 at the time" is the most anti-SiliconValley sentence every. Age 25+ in Silicon Valley is ancient lol

Wonder if Sam and Elon are still boys after Sam “closed” OpenAI

No repercussions for abusing his sister?

He will go down in history as THE destroyer of humanity. There is no creation more dangerous and evil than replacing the human mind, and with it the meaning of being human. The development of the atomic bomb was a joke comparatively. Maybe we should think about it for a moment...

Yeah he figured out the problem all right. He used cheap African labour at one dollar per hour to produce his GPTchat program. Now, no wonder there are thousands of unemployed computer programmers with nothing to do these days. lol! genius indeed! lol!
