I think the loudness is gonna be affected by the mic limitations. I'd use a remote mic set a longer distance away which will give better indication of sound over distance.

Adam, I would love to see a full build video on a cow whip. I have watched your other cow whip build video but I still have questions. I built the Bare bones whip and love it but I just get lost on the last part of the cow whip. Hitching in the tie off sections and dropping strands for the handle is the hard part for me. Thank you for all the tutorials you do, I appreciate learning something new from your videos.

Kinda sounds the same to me, but maybe it's the bull whip due to bulls being more dangerous, so they make those louder.

I've got a few questions: what are the factors affecting whip loudness? can we say that all of these factors are equal? "which type whip is louder?" this question is almost like the age old "which sword is better; katana, rapier or arming sword?"

I've had a 6ft and 8ft whip my 6ft was louder. But the popper size on the the 6 was longer. So i assume the 6ft because its popper looks longer. But the sites i read say the longer whip will be louder . So tbh idk.🤷‍♀️
