The fact that this is even a concern is a barometer of cultures values.

Yet another example of something "not being explicitly illegal" not because it's okay, but because it's so incredibly insane that the people writing the rules never thought it necessary to spell out.

The fact that there are millions of people that would actually vote for a convicted felon is mind-boggling😢

If President Obama had acted like this we know what the outcome would be 😑

I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. Guy should be disqualified from living anywhere but a jail cell.

If someone is convicted of any crime you should not be allowed to run or be elected for any government position. President, governors Congress or anything. Should not be pardoned and even if you pardoned you should not be able to run for anything.

How can a convicted person be President? Really? Like, how would that work?

Since the Founding Father's never Considered the Possibility that an indicted person or Convicted Criminal would Run for the Office of the President, they Never wrote a Specific Article or Clause answering that question.

If this was Obama going through these indictments, the answer would be a resounding *HELL NO!!!!*

Suppose he is convicted in a State, and he cannot pardon himself by being elected. Would it be in the interest of national security to have a president who has to answer to a parole officer and be restricted by the conditions of his parole? That's assuming they don't lock him up. This country needs to do better.

There should pass a bill that you can't run being a criminal felon.

Being allowed to run for president as someone convicted shouldn’t be allowed makes no sense
