I came across Shawn James at the lowest point of my life, I had came across hellhound and fell in love with his singing. With every song I had came across by him I found a bit of determination to keep going. Started learning the guitar and started singing a lot more, made some great friends who taught me more and more. Started singing for friends, one of the best feelings ever, I don't feel down anymore. I hope this gets to Shawn, want him to know he's changed more life's than he would ever believe, keep going bud.

My husband loved this song he passed away in 2001 I have never heard a better version of this song even the original well done I bawled

Man after all the years growing up hearing this overplayed song I actually grew a resentment towards this band and especially this song. Its amazing how a cover from this great artist shawn completely changed my mind. Lyrically as well as melodically this song now dances on a different night, and the fiddlers tune is far from over.
