The history that England has is so amazing and Tony’s excitement while he delivers the story just brings everything together. I’m totally addicted to watching these lol

Found this site by accident looking for something else. Now I've forgotten what it was I sought because I've been transfixed and totally engaged in your work. You and your team make the dirt and bones come alive for me. I only wish I'd been one of you but at 74 my knees, back, and hips couldn't bear the strain. Thank you for giving me such satisfaction. The smart beautiful girls are a blessing, too.

Can’t name a better duo than Phil and Ian.

Thank you for treating the Shakespeare authorship question with the respect it deserves! Edward deVere's cousin reported that he was buried in Westminster Abbey.

Love the banter of the team and the research, they really are considerate of the places they dig up.

The new Time Team is a pale incarnate of the original. Brilliant mix of science, detective work, lots of sweat with a huge amount of humor. The kind of blokes you could share a few hours and a few pints.

That triptych window is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Can't decide if I love Phil or Tony more...they're so funny and interesting. Would love to spend time with them just listening to them.

I live in California. We get excited when we unearth a bottle from 100 years ago.

I am a direct descendant of Robert de Vere, 19th of Earl of Oxford. His lineage took on the name Oxford. My paternal grandmother’s maiden name was Oxford. I traced her lineage all the way back to Robert and Beatrice.

DeVere’s father died when he was quite young, forcing him to be brought up by Cecil as a ward of the Crown. When he gained his maturity at 21 he was already in massive debt to pay off his wardship... but he was also given a 1000 pound annual annuity by the Queen, which was a massive sum (equivalent to about $1 million annually), so he didn’t really have money problems

I've been watching Time Team episodes for several days now and I must say, I absolutely love them 🥺🥺🥺🥺 Makes me wanna be an archaeologist even though I'm 25 and studied art in uni.

My goodness the history is so breathtaking. The part where they showed the burial chamber looked like one of the Tarot cards (4 of Swords!).

Mick is my favorite!! Guys not afraid of color, nice to see something that's not charcoal grey. He looks like an old school CA hippy.

Phil just makes me happy when he's on screen. I wanna see him have a long conversation with Irving Finkle.

A great episode in a great series! It would be nice to have an epilogue about the human remains: Carbon 14, DNA, and isotope analysis.

Love time team. It’s a great end to my busy days. They should do off shoots from this programme as there are so many experts on really interesting subjects . Example the stone mason on this programme, she has a lovely voice and is so interesting

With this and all buried sites, I always wonder how large structures disappear so quickly.
Perhaps it’s a real-time metaphor for the temporary nature of our lives and monuments.
