In this video, Day 27 of my free CCNA 200-301 complete course, you will learn about OSPF, Open Shortest Path First. OSPF is a link-state dynamic routing protocol, as opposed to the distance vector routing protocols RIP and EIGRP. You will study OSPF metric, OSPF neighbor adjacencies, and some additional OSPF configuration.

In this FREE and COMPLETE CCNA 200-301 course you will find lecture videos covering all topics in Cisco official exam topics list, end-of-video quizzes to test your knowledge, flashcards to review, and practice labs to get hands-on experience.

ERRATA: At 4:57, I said 'The 100 megabits per second I configured as the reference bandwidth...'
. It should be *100, 000* megabits per second (or 100 *gigabits* per second).
At 6:44, it should be '100 ( R1 *G0/0* ) + 1 (R2 L0) = 101', NOT '100 (R1 *G1/0* ) + 1 (R2 L0) = 101'
At 31:10, the command should be 'auto-cost reference-bandwidth'. There is a missing hyphen.

If anyone finds this helpful, my Cisco teacher used "Demons In Texas Eat Eels Like Fries" to help my class remember the order of the ospf states

I'm still going with the course Jeremy! My exam is booked in too. A cool thing I noticed today is that the captions on these videos are extremely accurate.

Jeremy you’re doing a great job, made it look easy!

btw : The following fields in the OSPF Hello packets must be the same on both routers in order for routers to become neighbors: subnet, area id, hello and dead interval timers, authentication, area stub flag and MTU. I think that it is important to know for CCNA.

Why did we say that to reach R2's L0 interface, it has to leave it? It doesn't have to leave it to reach it. Is it more of like just an added fee for going to a Loopback address inside a networking device?

I am following the Neils Cisco CCNA boot camp in order to continue with my studies and be able to present my test in November this year. But I will happily pay for a full course dictated by you. an awesome job with the videos and amazingly easy to understand the topics.
