Profit is a measure of how well you are adding value to the lives of others.

We are not on the road to socialism, we're on the freeway to socialism. Pun intended.

(3:37) Jesus Christ was not a Socialist _or_ Communist because He understood that _coerced_ charity is NOT _real_ charity. instead, Jesus taught that not only is it our _responsibility_ to help and care for each other, it's our _obligation_ as human beings—but NOT as tax payers.

I think it was Ben Franklin who said that _"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."_
That gravy train has long since left the station, and has almost arrived at its final destination. The _Great Experiment_ that was America was a great ride while it lasted.

Once and for all Denmark is not socialist, even their Prime Minister had to come out tell Bernie to stop saying that, get over it. It is a Market Economy with a heavy welfare system, heavy taxes on the poor, who don't have to pay for most of their own defense. They also have no minimum wage and their pensions and schools are heavily privatized. Bernie Sanders was telling lies.

many people that I have tried debating with, many liberal, believe that our debt is because of capitalism, not government spending.

"Depression is economy without profit". Nice said. Wow. The best definition for depression, and tell to those who said profit is evil.

Love what the man being interviewed says about Jesus and his views of re-distributing wealth. Thou shout not Jesus was her to uphold the law

This was happening in the 70's when I went to high school... I had teachers who scored your papers based on your nearness to her own political views.

The problem I feel is that most people believe in the dictatorship of the people. They believe in total democracy, that if a majority votes on something that makes it moral and right.

If a majority wants to force some people to pay for the upkeep of others, that is moral and right so long as it is voted on and a majority is reached.

They keep doing the same thing over and over again, and just don't learn.

(1:10) anyone who wants to know how to handle a potentially devastating economic crisis like the one that sparked the Great Depression should research Calvin Coolidge to see how his administration responded to a financial scenario that many economists believe may have been worse than the one that sparked "The Great Depression." facing horrific economic conditions, instead of hiking taxes and involving government, the Coolidge Administration _lowered_ taxes and _slashed_ government spending—in HALF! a few years later, they did it AGAIN—and the economy took off!

the difference in response of the Coolidge administration to serious economic turmoil compared to the _overreaction_ and _government intervention_ of the Hoover and FDR administrations is the difference between "The Roarin' Twenties" and "The Great Depression" of the 1930s.

*side note:* _Coolidge is the ONLY President in US history to experience a surplus in EVERY single year of his Presidency—meaning he left the federal debt SMALLER than it was when he first took office. personally, i believe Coolidge is the single-most underrated and ignored United States President!_

Before the extreme liberalization in the schools, back when I was in school, it was taught as an ABSOLUTE FACT that FDR and his policies pulled us out of the Great Depression.

I knew a deli owner who was decent man in my youth. His prices were not sky high like other delis in the area. One day I asked him why the prices so low. his reply, "I'm doing it to make a living; not get rich on backs of everyone else." That was the wisest man I have known after my father.
