Being allergic to oysters is fun. Ground oysters shells/limestone is found in many products. Calcium carbonate, calcium chloride and calcium sulfide are the main ones I watch for.

I've always had a slight allergy to animal fur. A little reddening and slight itching with contact. But then when I entered my late 30s suddenly food allergies decided to settle in. The first to develop is a pitted fruit allergy, and then a celery allergy decided to join in just a year or so later. Oh the celery story, I gotta tell it. On a lot of occasions, but not all, when I would eat wings my lips and eyes would swell up a lot. My face would get blotchy and Itch. I couldn't figure it out because it occurred at any restaurant and with any flavor(s), but not every time. This had been happening for about 3 to 4 years. Then my Dad was down visiting and out for wings we went. As we were devouring the wings and conversing, I could feel the tingling and Itching starting. Then a minute or so later my sister, who joined us, looked at me with wide eyes and asked what the heck was wrong with my face. And then said everything was red and swollen! I looked rough. As we began discussing it, I explained my confusion and lack of a common denominator to figure out the allergen. My Dad listened and without hesitation said, It's the celery. And talk about an ah-ha! moment lol. It now made complete sense. My Dad was a quiet man but smart as a whip. I now know to just not eat the green sidekick to an order of wings.🫶🏻😄

Here's one that surprised me .... hold your hands out at arms length, then slowly rotate them to be touching directly in front of you. When you do this, your dominant hand will usually be longer than your passive hand.

One of my good friends has a double uterus. She has a 6 year old son and it was interesting to see which uterus her son was growing in. Other than that everything is normal with her.

I got both really unlucky and lucky with allergies. I was born with so many allergies, it was easier to list the things I could eat than what I couldn't. Also couldn't be breastfed and had to use a very specifc, experimental formula. Almost died too. Fast forward years later, I'm a foodie that can eat almost anything and have outgrown all my allergies

I am essentially allergic to the outdoors. I am not allergic to citrus, an odd type of grass, roaches, dogs or dust but apparently I am allergic to my cats which makes no sense since my cats don't go outside and like to lick. Everything else outdoors I am apparently allergic to so I am on my second year of allergy shots because having my eyes start burning when I am driving is not a good thing. It also doesn't help that thing are blooming all the time where I live.

I'm allergic to penicillin and Bactrim. That's it. I was the smallest of my mother's 4 kids, who smoked through all 4 pregnancies. I weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. One of my brothers was the heaviest at 10 lbs. So smoking did not always result in low birth weight...

my weird body trait is that i only have 24 teeth (most people have 32). But there aren't any spaces or gaps- my mouth is full. Apparently I just have really small jaws and pretty large molars lol

Interestingly, I'm either allergic or seriously intolerant of second-hand smoke. I cough horribly (and feel kind of sick) whenever I pass a smoker; the worse they're doing it, the worse I feel. Which is kind of a blessing in disguise. I won't be temped to take up that filthy habit...especially since I have a family history, increased risk of Cancer. Smoking is possibly the leading cause of Lung Cancer.

Odd facts about mine:

I also relate to the eye thing.

My urethra is in the wrong place (not sure if it was caused by surgeries I had done as a baby or I was born with it).

Here's a weird thing my body can do. I can make both eye pupils spin really fast in different directions, I can make them look in different directions. The weird thing is that my identical twin sister can do it as well. But my mom & dad or any of my family can't.

My funny body oddity. I can make the Vulcan greeting with my right hand but not my left. Why do I find that weird? I'm a lefty.
