Great video, Luke! I admire and applaud your adventurous spirit and your zest for learning more about the natural world. Some of the best and most special places require effort and sacrifice, like thrashing through manzanita and junipers and scaling spicy Class IV terrain. Thanks for contacting me and letting me provide a little info on the spectacular elongate concretions. Hope we can get together outside sometime soon and do a video. Keep exploring and stay curious.

Very cool climb Luke! I’ve always seen that feature. I hike a lot off trail in that area. Thank you so much for sharing it with me!

WHAT A CLIMB! Those rock formations were fascinating - the geological explanation for the iron oxide formations is interesting but does not diminish the magical, awesome beauty of all those dark shapes - just mind blowing!!

Another great video, Luke! Congratulations on your summit! A shout out to Shawn Willsey - his Geology 101 YT videos do a great job of explaining geology basics and his Random Roadcuts stop to look at exposed rocks and try to find evidence to explain the geologic events that occurred . He has many other interesting videos too.

Neat video, very informative. Desert Drifter showed the Mochi marbles but didn’t explain them. God Bless

Boy oh boy that was great. Outstanding. Like the rock formations, photography and the background music. Looked like a tough hike but well worth it. Thanks again

This was so much fun, I am going to go out and see if the approach from the east end is possible and if it might not involve so much brush crunching, thank you!
