There are so many factors that contribute to acne, and diet is just one player. But I love talking about the diet, because odds are the foods that are making your acne worse could also be affecting your health, namely processed, low fiber foods and high sugar foods. Dairy is controversial in terms of it being "healthy", but there are plenty of studies showing that cow's milk (specifically skim milk, but still all the kinds of milk) can worsen acne.

More studies are also coming out regarding the profile of the microbiome flora in that of someone with acne vs someone without acne. And we know that diet influences our gut health and diversity. A low fiber diet is certainly something that can negatively impact gut health.
